Facilitation
Facilitating
a downlink site is easy and can provide an opportunity for you to meet
with other local organizations or agencies. When you register to
be a site coordinator/facilitator, you will receive all of the relevant
information (i.e., Participant Packet, Facilitator Guide, and Technical
Information Guide) approximately one week before the broadcast.
You are requested to copy the Participant Packet and provide one to each
of your site’s participants on the day of the broadcast.
Facilitator
Registration
Registration
is free! If you are interested in coordinating and facilitating a downlink
site in your community, please complete the registration form and submit
it by May 31, 2000.
You must register to receive broadcast coordinates. If you are unable
to facilitate a site but would like to view the videoconference, please
contact us after May 19 for registered sites in your area.
OJJDP
is not establishing any viewing sites. To view the program, you should
identify a facility that can receive the satellite coordinates. This
means the facility must have a steerable satellite dish. The broadcast
will be available on C-Band and Ku-band. Agencies to contact in your
community to schedule a viewing site are cooperative extension offices,
community colleges, local school systems, universities, and local cable
television companies.
