I think this type of action is just cosmetic in nature. If we really want to minimize the school violence then we need to develop programs that identify and assist the students who fit these profiles. The security systems are just band aid solutions, and do little to fix the core issues. Low self esteem, little to no skills in dealing with emotions, and the ability to express emotions in a social acceptable ways etc..
